Janet Stone, MPT and Jim Stone

Janet graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University in 1983 with a degree in Physical Therapy. She and her husband, Jim, opened Exercise Therapy Consultants in May of 1998, after seeing a need for personalized physical therapy in the Kansas City area.
Janet has spent most of her years as a physical therapist in the outpatient setting, with extensive training and experience in treating back and neck injuries, TMJ conditions, chronic pain, headaches and sports injuries. Janet is also certified by WorkHab to perform functional capacity evaluations. She is trained in therapeutic exercise, McKenzie’s technique, myofascial release, soft tissue mobilization, craniosacral therapy, strain/counter strain, muscle energy, spine mobilization and manipulation, extremity mobilization, neural mobilization, lumbar stabilization, PNF, and vestibular rehabilitation. She has taken numerous classes in advanced treatment techniques.
In her free time, Janet enjoys Zumba, weight training, cardiovascular exercise, playing the piano, and crocheting. She lives in Belton with her husband and their three dogs. Janet and Jim’s son, Matthew, recently graduated from Missouri University of Science and Technology with a dual degree in aerospace and mechanical engineering. He now works for the government performing research and development on Naval aircraft.
Director of Operations
Ken has brought with him over four decades of sales and business development consulting. With a background ranging from general manager of Freedom Cycles, exotic reptile trade, running a startup company that grossed upwards of 28 million in a fiscal year, and managing a high end audio store, Ken brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to ETC. Ken has also played a large role in organizing charity events in the Kansas City area, such as “Bikers for Babies” and “Thunder in the Heartland”.
Sam joined the ETC Physical Therapy family in January of 2008, and spends most of his time travelling to the many clinics and hospitals in the areas of Independence, Brookside, Lee’s Summit, and a small area of Overland Park. Through his traveling, he has been able to observe many different medical professionals’ specialized practices, and has learned a great deal about the needs and expectations of each. With his expertise and personable demeanor, ETC Physical Therapy has developed exceptional relationships with the many facilities in the Kansas City metro area.
Outside of his time spent at ETC, Sam serves as a Captain with the Kansas City Fire Department, with which he has been affiliated for 17 years. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his 6-year-old daughter, and playing golf.
Ashley has worked in the medical field since 2006, she has worked front desk, public relations, taken x-rays, and monitored patients’ therapy. She took the past 3 years off and managed her own wellness company assisting doctors nationwide to help patients work toward a healthier lifestyle. Ashley takes a lot of pride in her job and witnessing others improve their quality of life is what motivates her on a daily basis. She is thrilled to be back at it again and looking forward to her journey with ETC Physical Therapy.
Ashley enjoys quality family fun time with her husband Josh, 16-year-old Joseph, and 14-year-old Keegan. Most of her time outside of work is spent running between wrestling, baseball, track, and football events…and she wouldn’t have it any other way!

Kyla graduated in 2000 from Park University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration-Finance. She has over 15 years’ experience in the Mortgage industry and decided a career change was needed, which led to this position with ETC. She enjoy’s seeing patients meet their goals and feel better.
Kyla enjoy’s spending free time with her husband and three daughters. Most of her time outside of work is spent running to various activities for the girls and weekends from April to October are usually spent at the race track watching her husband race.

Mikelle has worked in hospice administration for the past 14 years. Prior to that her experience ranges from Independent Insurance Agent to Employee Benefits Coordinator for a major hospital system. She hails from a small town in West Texas (45 years – you can hear it in my voice —yup). Her family moved to the Kansas City Area in 2014 and LOVES IT!! GO ROYALS!
Mikelle received her Associates Degree in 1994 in Computer Information Systems…and promptly jumped straight into the healthcare biz and never looked back. She is thrilled to be a part of the ETC Family.
Outside of the office, She loves to spend time with her husband and youngest son seeing the countryside and visiting local wineries and shops. When Mikelle does get time off she goes to see her oldest son and daughter-in-law and of course her beautiful granddaughter. We welcome her to the ETC Family!
Billing, Records, and Aging Manager
Christina began working for ETC Physical Therapy in March of 2008, specializing in administrative support, for which she handles all billing and insurance issues. While extraordinarily busy with the behind the scenes work of the clinic, she is sure to welcome all patients and provides a personable experience at our Business Office.
Christina has lived in the Kansas City area for most of her life. She has two grown children and in 2014, she married her best friend, Scott. They have four handsome grandsons and a beautiful granddaughter together.
Chris Middlebusher, PT
Physical Therapist - Belton
Chris graduated in 1991 from Wichita State University with a degree in Physical Therapy. Over the years, she has worked in multiple settings including two years as a traveling PT. She spent the past 20+ years in northwest Missouri working in outpatient, inpatient, and Home Health for a rural hospital.
During her free time, Chris enjoys hiking, traveling, photography, biking, and spending time with family, friends, and her dogs.
Jenna Aldridge, DPT
Physical Therapist - Belton
Jenna graduated from Southwest Baptist University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May 2019. She is passionate to work with all types of diagnoses, including orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical.
In her free time, Jenna enjoys hiking, jogging, dancing, and petting as many dogs in a day as possible.
Brendan Willyard, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant - Lee's Summit
Brendan joined ETC Physical therapy in 2018. He graduated from Colorado State University with a BS in Psychology and a BS in Health and Exercise Science. Brendan continued on to receive his PTA degree from Penn Valley in Kansas City.
Brendan likes to spend time outdoors hunting, fishing, camping, or working on remodeling his house, with his wife, two dogs and two goats.
As a former personal trainer, Brendan enjoys pushing his clients to achieve their goals and become the best versions of themselves possible.
Patient Care Coordinator - Belton
Angela grew up in Belton and has been gone for several years. She is happy to be back and excited to be a part of the ETC Physical Therapy team. She has worked in the front office for many different medical offices including chiropractic, dermatology, urology, and pain management for over 6 years. Angela enjoy’s helping people and seeing them get better. She has 2 awesome daughters that she loves spending time with and she loves to work out in spare time.
Patient Care Coordinator - Belton
Kalika graduated from pinnacle Career Institute in 2017 from the dental assisting program. Currently she is enrolled at MCC to continue her education. She has two cats but wants more and would like to add some dogs to her animal family. Her hobby is astrology and she enjoys using it as a form of psychology.
In her freetime Kalika enjoys napping, shopping, and swimming.
Jay Ryan, DPT

Jay joined the ETC Physical Therapy team in 2015. He graduated from Rockhurst University with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May of 2015. While he treats a wide variety of diagnoses, his passion is to treat those dealing with orthopedic injuries.
During his free time, Jay enjoys participating in any sport, exercising, and watching KU basketball. He lives with his wife and two cats.

Deirdra has worked in retail for the past 7 yrs as a store manager. One thing that she loves about her job is the customers. Born and raised in Texas. Moved to Blue Springs, MO in Sept 2018. She has been married for 13 yrs to her husband, Greg. Deirdra has 3 children, Braden 20, Kaitlyn 15, and Zackary 12. They Love spending time outdoors, at the softball or baseball fields, and hanging out with family and friends.
Katie Nelson, DPT

Katie graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA. Prior to that, she received an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from St. Ambrose University. Katie loves working with all diagnoses and is passionate about helping patients improve their quality of life so they can do the things they love. She recently moved to Kansas City and enjoys exploring the city, spending time outdoors, and running.
Matt Almai, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant - Brookside
Matt joined the ETC Physical Therapy family in 2012. He is a graduate of Metropolitan Community College’s Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2012. His primary location is the Brookside clinic where he incorporates manual therapy techniques, as well as therapeutic exercises in order to help patients reach their goals for therapy. In his time with our team, he has gained experience in neuro rehab, acute orthopedic injuries, and neck and back pain.
Matt lives on the Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri, and is a newlywed! In his spare time, he enjoys cooking and outdoor activities, including jogging, swimming, and biking.
Jillian Hamming, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant - Brookside
Jillian has been with ETC Physical Therapy since May 2019. She graduated with an Associate’s in Art with an emphasis on music from Longview Community College and also received her Associate’s in Applied Science for Physical Therapist Assistant from Penn Valley Community College. Prior to joining the ETC family, Jillian gained experience in inpatient rehab, skilled nursing, aquatics therapy, sports rehabilitation and chronic pain management. She enjoys treating a wide variety of diagnoses, however has a passion for orthopedic injuries, sports injuries and Parkinson’s disease.

Samantha joined the ETC Physical Therapy team in December 2016. Samantha obtained a degree from Concorde Career College in 2013 with an Associates of Applied Science degree. She continued her journey at medical practices working as a chiropractic assistant by taking xrays, assisting doctors with modalities, and carrying out exercise treatment. Samantha discovered she works better with order, critical thinking, and problem solving when it comes to insurance and office management. Samantha’s main hobbies include her chihuahua Hercules, cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
Thomas Reuther, DPT, OCS
Physical Therapist - Harrisonville
Thomas graduated from Rockhurst University in 2015, earning his DPT. After graduation he worked 2 years in Kansas before joining the ETC team in 2017. Thomas recently became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist under the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association). Thomas enjoys working with a variety of patients but has always enjoyed orthopedics, balance disorders, and chronic pain the most.
In his free time Thomas enjoys playing disc golf, camping, and being an overall nerd. He also enjoys time at home with his wife Sarah as well as their pet cat and hedgehog.
Patient Care Coordinator - Harrisonville
Megan has been interested in pursuing a career in Physical Therapy since a young age, with a particular passion for pediatrics. Which is why she was determined to find the perfect physical therapy clinic to work for while continuing her education at MCC to receive a degree to work in the medical field.
When she gets a study break, Megan enjoys spending quality time with her husband & 3 children outdoors. She also co-coordinates & plays piano on the worship team for her church.
Taylor Ballantyne, DPT, CSCS

Taylor graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University on 2019. Prior to that, he received his Bachelors in Exercise and Sports Science from Rockhurst University. Taylor enjoys working with athletes and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has experience working with all manners of orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions and specializes in working with conditions of the Spine.

Specialties: Orthopedics, Strain/Counter Strain Releases, Core and Extremity Stabilizations, CVA Therapy, and Sports Injury.
Jennifer graduated with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University in 2006. She has worked with ETC Physical Therapy since August of 2007. Prior to that, she worked in the inpatient rehabilitation department at North Kansas City Hospital. Jennifer’s primary location is the Lee’s Summit clinic, where she incorporates a combination of therapeutic and functional exercise with manual therapy techniques to meet each patient’s needs.
Before working in the physical therapy field, Jennifer was a competitive gymnastics coach and continues to enjoy working with young athletes. While she treats a wide variety of diagnoses, her passion is to treat those dealing with orthopedic injuries.
During her free time, Jennifer enjoys running, weight lifting, and baking. She lives with her husband, two children, and two dogs in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

Brittney graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia and went on to get her PTA degree from Missouri Western State University. She likes to spend a lot of her time outdoors in her kayak and traveling around the USA. She owns two pugs and loves to take them anywhere she can.

Savannah joined the ETC Family in 2017, We are excited to have her she is very service minded and enjoys seeing patients get better. She is the head coach of her daughters softball team and never misses her sons wrestling tournaments and football games. Savannah spends all of her extra time with her family and friends.

Sarah joined ETC in April 2018. She graduated from Truman State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Sarah has worked in the medical field for over 10 years, including veterinary medicine, laboratory science, and is now making her way into physical therapy. She enjoys learning about and applying information from a wide range of backgrounds to broaden the overall scope of patient health. Sarah’s hobbies include hiking, martial arts, crafting, games, and her pets.
Bradley Aubin, DPT
Clinical Business Lead - Pleasant Hill
Brad received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis in May 2016. Prior to this, Brad went to Pittsburg State University where he received his Bachelors of Science in Biology. He originally required significant physical therapy during high school, and realized that becoming a physical therapist is what he wanted to do for a living. Brad enjoys working with all diagnoses, and has a passion for orthopedic, vestibular, and sports population.
Outside of work, Brad enjoys watching football and baseball games, as well as playing softball, sand volleyball, and weight lifting. He also enjoys spending time with his family and numerous nieces and nephews. He is originally from Lee’s Summit
Clerical Business Lead - Pleasant Hill
Michelle has worked at the Pleasant Hill location of ETC Physical Therapy since March of 2006. Among her many duties, she is in charge of the fitness facility, works as the front desk receptionist for the physical therapy department, and archives for the entire ETC Physical Therapy group. Her extensive knowledge of all things ETC creates an efficient and positive therapy experience.
As a lifetime resident of Pleasant Hill, Michelle can attest to the positive impression that corner of Kansas City provides. She is the proud mother of a teenage girl and a young son.
